Cara Bowen has been performing Eastern European and Middle Eastern dance forms for over thirty years. From an early age, she trained with the Houston Balalaika Society and from 1996-2007 she studied with Karen Barbee in San Antonio, Texas. Under Karen's direction Cara became a performer, choreographer, and teacher for Karavan Studio of Middle Eastern Dance.
In addition to belly dance, Cara has studied and taught ballroom and country/western dances under the direction of Patrick McMillan, and Lindy Hop with several of the extraordinary teachers within the Lindy Hop community.
A native Texan, Cara relocated to the UK in 2007 where she continues to teach and perform.
